Job summary

Bilfinger UK is recruiting a Construction Manager to lead and coordinate mechanical and piping installation activities within the NSSS scope at HPC. You will provide day-to-day leadership to supervisors, contractors, and craft teams, delivering safe, high‑quality, timely construction works on a highly regulated nuclear project.

The role requires strong communication, a proactive mindset, and solid experience with large‑scale industrial installations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical and piping installation on large industrial or energy projects.
• Strong leadership managing construction teams in complex multi-contractor environments (100+ FTE).
• Familiarity with nuclear safety culture, QA/QC standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Relevant trade or engineering qualification (HNC/HND or degree preferred).

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate mechanical and piping installation works across all areas.
• Provide daily guidance to supervisors, inspectors, and trade personnel.
• Maintain a strong field presence to monitor progress and support safe execution.
• Help develop/update lookahead plans aligned with project schedule and milestones.
• Coordinate interfaces with other disciplines, contractors, and client representatives.
• Lead toolbox talks, risk assessments, and method statement reviews.
