Job summary

Bilfinger UK is delivering a flagship nuclear project and seeks a Construction Manager to lead and coordinate mechanical and piping installation within the NSSS scope at HPC. You will provide day-to-day leadership to supervisors, inspectors and craft teams, ensuring safe, high‑quality and timely execution.

The role requires strong communication, practical delivery experience on large industrial or nuclear projects, and a solid understanding of QA/QC, safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership of construction teams on large multi-contractor sites.
• Experience in mechanical and piping installation within energy projects.
• Familiarity with nuclear safety culture, QA/QC and regulatory standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical and piping installation across all areas.
• Provide daily guidance to supervisors, inspectors and trade personnel.
• Maintain field presence to monitor progress and safety.
• Develop/update lookahead plans and coordinate interfaces with disciplines.
• Ensure materials, equipment and resources meet installation targets.
• Champion nuclear safety culture and enforce safety standards.
• Track progress, identify risks and report to the Site Manager.
• Support change management, NCR resolution and documentation control.
• Build strong relationships with EDF, Tier 1 contractors and internal teams.
