Job summary

EDF Energy Limited seeks an experienced Construction Field Engineer for the Hinkley Point C project onsite in the UK. You will coordinate daily workforce allocations with area Superintendents and Supervisors, prepare risk assessments, and review all engineering docs for contract compliance.

The role emphasizes safety, proactive problem solving, and effective liaison with the Client and PM team to ensure timely data release and issue resolution on a large-scale nuclear construction project.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or proven engineering experience in construction.
• Minimum five years' experience in Oil & Gas or Nuclear projects.
• CSCS HS&E MAPS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport required.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction input into the contract execution phase to ensure constructability is considered.
• Liaise with area Superintendents and Supervisors on daily work allocations to maintain productivity.
• Produce Risk Assessed Method Statements for installation and erection of power plant equipment.
• Review engineering documentation for compliance with contract requirements.
• Suggest new methods to improve project execution processes.
• Maintain communications with Client and PM team for data release and issue resolution.
• Monitor construction schedules and initiate early mitigation of slippage.
• Provide work packs and permits to the work party; ensure safety and quality.
