Job summary

Assystem UK Ltd in Preston is seeking a Construction Manager to lead a defined section of works on the Fuels site, interfacing with design and installation contracts and ensuring safe, compliant delivery within a regulated nuclear programme.

You will chair planning meetings, manage CDMs, drive construction sequencing and resource strategies, and provide leadership across MDTs to achieve on-time completion while maintaining quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience delivering complex infrastructure or nuclear projects in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and large-scale programme delivery constraints.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and ability to obtain site security clearances.
• Excellent communication and leadership across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate construction activity delivery across allocated areas.
• Act as the Construction lead within a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT).
• Oversee site activities including construction management, safety, logistics, planning and quality.
• Oversee implementation of site processes and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Provide leadership for Construction Delivery Managers (CDMs) and support their development.
• Conduct safety and assurance inspections in line with safety tools and processes.
• Chair and contribute to daily/weekly delivery planning meetings (e.g. PLOWs).
• Drive construction sequencing, recovery planning and resource strategy.
• Represent the construction function in forums and support client reporting.
