Job summary

Assystem is seeking a civil detailing lead to provide technical leadership across complex nuclear structures. The role centers on reinforcement detailing, 3D modelling, supplier oversight, and coordinating interfaces between engineering teams and detailing suppliers.

Based in the Bristol area with hybrid working, the role requires strong communication, QA discipline, and the ability to resolve intricate engineering issues. Nuclear/defence or major infra experience is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Extensive experience with reinforced concrete detailing.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and interfaces.
• Strong understanding of engineering design and project delivery processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience overseeing contractor or supplier technical deliverables.
• Ability to resolve complex technical issues independently.
• Familiarity with configuration management and QA processes.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling and detailing environments.
• Nuclear/defence/rail or major infrastructure experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical authority for assigned civil detailing packages.
• Review reinforcement models against design intent and project requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between engineering teams and detailing suppliers.
• Lead reviews of concrete, reinforcement and embedded item models.
• Manage technical queries and open points through closure.
• Oversee supplier performance, quality and technical delivery activities.
• Resolve multidisciplinary interface issues affecting detailing and construction delivery.
• Maintain configuration management and QA throughout project delivery.
• Monitor technical deliverables against schedules and standards.
• Support design replication principles across complex civil packages.
