Job summary

EDF Nuclear Operations is seeking a Shift Chemistry Technician at Sizewell B Power Station. This full-time, on-site role supports nuclear safety and plant health, working across laboratory and plant operations with a days-only shift pattern and a three-weekend rotation.

You will handle sampling, analysis, calibration, and instrumentation, building expertise in chromatography while contributing to Britain's low-carbon future within a skilled team.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent required with chemistry focus.
• ONC/HNC or higher in chemistry or related science is a plus.
• Experience with chromatography techniques and lab safety practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sampling and monitoring chemistry across nuclear, conventional, and water treatment systems.
• Carrying out laboratory analysis using wet chemistry and instrumental techniques.
• Maintaining, calibrating, and repairing lab and plant instrumentation.
• Investigating plant issues and documenting site chemistry programs.
• Providing technical advice and supporting outages, emergencies, and dry storage campaigns.
