Job summary

Paramadina invites graduates to join the Nuclear Graduates programme to support nuclear site regulation and gain diverse sector experience across the UK over two years with leading nuclear organisations.

You will contribute to regulating licensed sites, engage in reactor chemistry activities, inspect sites, and assist with safety-case assessments. The role includes travel, security clearance, and a structured mentorship during the two-year programme.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK for the duration of the two-year programme.
• Willingness and ability to travel and relocate as required.
• Successful completion of security clearance checks.

Responsibilities

• Supporting regulation of nuclear licensed sites as part of the ONR specialist chemistry team.
• Engaging in chemistry aspects related to design, construction, operation, and decommissioning of reactor types and fuel cycle/waste facilities.
• Conducting inspections on nuclear licensed sites and assessing chemistry aspects of safety case submissions.
• Working on reactor chemistry to maintain coolant loops, prevent corrosion, and minimise activation products.
• Contributing to spent fuel management and chemical processes for radioactive waste treatment, immobilisation, and conditioning for storage and disposal.
• Supporting chemical processes for nuclear fuel production, including HALEU fuels.
• Building and maintaining relationships with licensees, government bodies, and international partners.
• Communicating clearly, collaborating, influencing appropriately, and making sound judgements.
