Nuclear Careers Coordinator Vacancy

Cogent Skills has an exciting opportunity for a Nuclear Careers Coordinator. This role will support the delivery of the Nuclear Sponsorship Scheme (NSS) and will ensure that plans and controls are in place, progress is tracked, milestones are achieved, and management processes and systems are adhered to.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Responsible for the day-to-day tracking of outcomes.
  2. Issue and analyze progress reports, update plans, and raise concerns with colleagues to overcome barriers, manage risks, and resolve issues.
  3. Support applicants to the nuclear sponsorship scheme, providing information, customer service, and updates on applications.
  4. Provide excellent customer service and support to nuclear employers' questions or queries.
  5. Liaise with delivery team members to track and report progress and ensure delivery of milestones/deliverables.
  6. Support the delivery team in daily activities, keeping stakeholders informed about progress.
  7. Schedule, attend, and take notes for meetings, preparing agendas and paperwork as directed.
  8. Ensure controls are used according to programme requirements.
  9. Assist with finance and contracts administration as agreed.
  10. Keep the team updated on the delivery plan status and raise concerns affecting delivery.
  11. Prepare performance reports to support decision-making.
  12. Carry out organizational tasks according to deadlines.
  13. Maintain the delivery plan in real-time and ensure key documents are version-controlled and filed.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Effective coordination of stakeholders, ensuring timely and quality inputs.
  • Efficient management and turnaround of key deliverables according to milestones.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a support role.
  • Good understanding of management methodologies.
  • Experience working with complex stakeholders and customers, with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and English at C/Grade 5 or above.
  • Experience in a related field.
  • Willingness to pursue or hold an entry qualification in administration.
