Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced Area Engineering Manager to support the Design Services Alliance (DSA) via AXIOM at Sellafield. The AEM will provide engineering leadership to multidisciplinary teams, ensuring safe, robust and fit-for-purpose solutions across projects from FEED to commissioning.

You will coordinate engineering governance, manage interfaces and deliverables, and work with stakeholders to meet safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements.

Qualifications

• Significant engineering experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience delivering complex engineering solutions to scope, cost, schedule and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams through the lifecycle stages.
• Take technical responsibility for the development and delivery of engineering solutions within the area.
• Define and manage engineering scope, interfaces, risks and design deliverables.
• Lead engineering integration, decision-making and resolution of multidisciplinary issues.
• Ensure engineering governance, design assurance, verification and design change processes are applied.
• Ensure solutions comply with legislation, regulations, standards and safety requirements, including CDM 2015.
• Consider construction, commissioning, operation and decommissioning requirements in solutions.
• Manage delivery against scope, cost, schedule and quality with resource planning.
• Collaborate with Project Engineers, Safety Case, Operations, Construction and Commissioning teams.
• Promote engineering professionalism and nuclear safety.
