Are you a driven Solicitor looking to take the next step in your career with one of Scotland's leading personal injury firms?

We're working with a highly regarded litigation firm in Scotland that has built an exceptional reputation for its work, technical expertise and commitment to achieving outstanding results for its clients. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Solicitor to take ownership of their own caseload, develop their litigation expertise and gain valuable court experience within an established and successful team.

Based in Glasgow city centre, this role offers high-quality work, genuine career development and a rewarding package within a supportive, performance-driven environment.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload of approximately 60-70 files, covering Employer's Liability (EL), Public Liability (PL), Road Traffic Accident (RTA) claims, general civil litigation and some medical negligence matters.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on their legal rights, potential claims and available options following a personal injury.
  • Preparing, progressing and managing personal injury claims in accordance with the Compulsory Pre-Action Protocol.
  • Negotiating settlements with insurers and opposing solicitors to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Representing clients in the Sheriff Court and developing your advocacy and litigation skills.
  • Working alongside Counsel on Court of Session claims, gaining exposure to more complex and high-value litigation.
  • Taking responsibility for your caseload from initial instruction through to settlement or conclusion, ensuring files are progressed effectively and to a high standard.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of your work, build your confidence in court and further develop your technical expertise across a varied litigation caseload.

About You

We're keen to speak with Solicitors who are ambitious, technically minded and genuinely enthusiastic about building a long-term career in litigation.

Ideally, you will have experience in personal injury, although applications are also welcomed from candidates with a background in civil litigation, debt recovery or another litigation-focused practice area.

You will bring:

  • NQ status or above, with around two years' PQE particularly desirable.
  • A sound understanding of court procedures, litigation rules and the expectations of court practice.
  • Experience managing your own caseload and progressing matters independently.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and a technically focused approach to legal work.
  • A genuine interest in court work, advocacy and developing your litigation experience.
  • A proactive attitude, strong communication skills and a commitment to achieving excellent client outcomes.

Above all, we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys the challenges of litigation and is motivated to progress within a well-regarded firm.

What's on Offer?
  • Competitive salary reflecting your experience and ability.
  • Highly rewarding monthly bonus scheme, recognising hard work and performance.
  • Hybrid working arrangements, providing flexibility alongside valuable team collaboration.
  • Glasgow city centre location, with convenient access to transport links.
  • Christmas and New Year office closure, giving you additional time to switch off over the festive period.
  • The opportunity to join an established firm with an excellent reputation for its litigation work.
  • Valuable court exposure and the opportunity to work alongside Counsel on Court of Session cases.
  • Excellent scope to develop your technical expertise, take on responsibility and progress your career.
