Job summary

Law Staff Ltd. is seeking a Conveyancing Solicitor (NQ–1 PQE) near Exeter to manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through completion. You will handle sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity while training is provided for any self-build work.

The role emphasizes client communication, accuracy, and timely file management with potential involvement in commercial property. Hybrid working available with pension and training programs.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor of England & Wales with NQ–1 year PQE in residential conveyancing
• Strong understanding of conveyancing law and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficient in using conveyancing software and other legal technology

Responsibilities

• Manage a broad and varied caseload of residential conveyancing from instruction to completion
• Provide expert legal advice and support to clients on conveyancing matters
• Conduct thorough due diligence including property searches and title checks
• Draft and prepare legal documents and correspondence
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other parties to ensure smooth transactions
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and communications
• Support with any commercial property work if required

Key Responsibilities for the Conveyancing Solicitor role:

• Managing a broad and varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity.
• Experience in self-build or new-build work is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
• Provide expert legal advice and support to clients on all aspects of the conveyancing process.
• Conduct thorough due diligence, including property searches, title checks, and reviewing contracts.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process to ensure smooth and timely transactions.
• Prepare and draft necessary legal documents and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions and client communications.
• Any commercial property experience would be an advantage

• Qualified Solicitor of England & Wales from NQ - 1 years PQE handling a full range of residential conveyancing matters
