Job summary

Readypower Rail Services is seeking a part-time NPORS Instructor/NVQ Assessor based at our Nottingham Depot. The role includes nationwide travel to customer sites to deliver NPORS training and NVQ assessments.

The ideal candidate will have NPORS Instructor status, NVQ Assessor experience in construction, and Level 3 AET and CPD records, with good IT and driving license. CPD maintained and CPD records kept up to date.

Qualifications

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent.
Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment or equivalent.
Current NPORS Registered Instructor status.
Qualified and competent NVQ Assessor with experience in construction.
Proven experience delivering plant operator training and assessments.
Evidence of maintaining Continuing Professional Development (CPD) records.

Responsibilities

Develop understanding of Network Rail competence management requirements and support the business.
Ensure training and assessment follow approved protocols and course materials.
Coordinate with trainees on training/assessment timings and plans.
Follow instructions from Training Delivery Manager and Head of Training.

Readypower Rail Services is looking for a NPORS Instructor / NVQ Assessor.

This is a part-time (27 hours per week), permanent opportunity, based primarily from our Nottingham Depot. The role requires travel nationally to customer and operational sites.

The ideal candidate will deliver NPORS accredited and compliant training, testing and NVQ assessments to Readypower employees and external customers.

The Role

Develop an understanding of Network Rail competence management requirements and undertake any necessary training to support the business
Ensure training and assessment are done in line with approved protocols, guidelines or prescribed course materials
Liaise with trainees and check training / assessment timings are planned
Follow training plans and instructions from the Training Delivery Manager and Head of Training
Complete paperwork and CPD records fully and correctly and in a timely manner for submission to Management upon request
Keep up to date with the latest training or assessment protocols, standards and course materials
Attended standardisations meetings to keep up to date with standards and company processes
Be familiar with NPORS and Awarding Organisation competence standards

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) (or equivalent)
Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (or equivalent)
Current NPORS Registered Instructor status
Qualified and competent NVQ Assessor with experience assessing vocational competence within the construction industry
Proven experience delivering plant operator training and assessments
Evidence of maintaining Continuing Professional Development (CPD) records
Good IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate training, assessment and certification records
Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Requirements
