Job summary

Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, part of Spirax Group, seeks an NPI Workshop Technician for the Cardew Industrial site in Falmouth. You will manufacture prototype parts, set up CNC machines, and develop robust processes for new product concepts. Working with design, production and process engineers, you will inspect components, utilize CMM and additive manufacturing, and support fast-paced innovation while maintaining quality and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical/ fabrication environments.
• Experience reading engineering drawings or CAD models.
• Familiarity with precision metrology and quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and machining centres.
• Maintain machinery and coolant systems.
• Plan component manufacture to end-user requirements.
• Inspect prototype parts using calipers, micrometers and CMM.
• Use additive manufacturing to produce prototype parts and fixtures.
• Collaborate with design/production engineers to improve DFm.
