Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Limited is seeking an experienced NPI Lead Quality Engineer to drive quality strategy across new product introductions and work transfers. The role collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to ensure readiness for gates and serial production.

Based in Llay, Wrexham, the candidate will lead a team of quality engineers, interface with Airbus, and enforce AS9100/EN9100 standards throughout the NPI process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Aerospace or Quality Engineering.
• 8–12+ years of aerospace quality engineering experience.
• Experience leading Airbus WT / Quality Gate activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality activities for Airbus WT and gated work transfers.
• Define and deploy NPI quality strategy and governance.
• Own FAI strategy and validation prior to serial release.
• Manage supplier quality and risk mitigation.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/EN9100 and EN9102.
• Lead cross-functional teams across IPT/MFT.
