Job summary
Safran Actuation Systems UK in Wolverhampton is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - NPI (Full Lifecycle) to lead the planning and implementation of new products and production facilities. You will work across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations to deliver robust, scalable manufacturing solutions.
Essential requirements include a degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, strong NPI/industrialisation experience, and proven ability to introduce new products
Qualifications
- Degree or apprenticeship in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- Strong experience with NPI and industrialisation.
- Proven ability to introduce new products and processes into production.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA and DFx.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing planning and implementation of new products and production facilities across the NPI lifecycle.
- Interface across Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Operations within IPT to achieve programme deliverables.
- Apply Systems Engineering V-model principles to define manufacturing requirements and influence product design via DFx, Lean and APQP.
- Own the design, development and validation of manufacturing processes including PFMEA, control plans, pilot builds and readiness reviews.
