Job summary

Thompson Aero Seating is seeking a Supply Chain professional to lead material planning and sourcing for new product introductions. You will collaborate with Design and PM to align data, and work with category sourcing to meet budgets, while ensuring timely lead times.

Role is 50/50 between Portadown and Banbridge, with IPT involvement, cost management of sourced parts, and KPI tracking. The position offers an extensive benefits package and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Material Planning/Sourcing
• Experience in a busy production environment or equivalent
• Knowledge of MRP systems

Responsibilities

• Member of Integrated Programme Team
• Support IPT meetings by proactively bringing supply chain status, risks and actions
• Review CCB packs and feedback when ECRs put PODD at risk
• Support NPI WAR
• Participate in design reviews & program meetings as appropriate
• Participate in phase release reviews
• Act as liaison between Supply Chain and NPI IPT teams
• Provide programmes with accurate, timely supply chain information
• Ensure Supply Chain has a voice in IPT and programme decisions
• Identify improvement activities and corrective actions for efficient NPI supply chain
• Manage cost of sourced parts to BOM targets
• Maintain daily/weekly KPIs for suppliers and MRP system
• Carry out other activities for smooth NPI Supply Chain
• Ensure all work follows company procedures
• Role will be 50/50 between Portadown and Banbridge

Job description

The post holder will be responsible for supply chain activities with respect to new product introduction into supply chain. The post holder will liaise with different functions like Design and PM to get data in the required timescales to meet the supply base lead times. The post holder will also have a connection with category sourcing to meet budgetary requirements.

Responsibilities

• Member of Integrated Programme Team
• Supprt IPT Meetings by proactively bringing supply chain status, risks and actions
• Review the CCB Packs and feed back t the organisation when ECRs are putting PODD at risk
• Supprt NPI WAR
• Participate in design reviews & prgram meetings as appropriate
• Participate in phase release reviews
• Act as liaison between the wider Supply Chain organisation and the NPI IPT teams
• Provide programmes with accurate, timely supply chain information
• Ensure Supply Chain has a vice in the IPT and programme decision making
• Identify improvement activities, process development and corrective actions to ensure an efficient, high performing NPI supply chain function
• Manage cost of sourced parts to the programme costed BOM target.
• Maintain daily and weekly key performance indictors against assigned suppliers and MRP system
• Carry out any other activities necessary for the smooth running of the NPI Supply Chain function
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures
• Role expectation is 50/50 based with Supply Chain in Portadown and Engineering/Programmes in Banbridge

Requirements

Essential

• 3+ years’ experience of Material Planning/Sourcing role
• Previous experience in a busy production environment or equivalent
• Knowledge of MRP systems
• Educated to GCSE Level, Grades A*-C, or equivalent (including Maths & English)

Desirable

• HND/ILM
• Third level qualification in a supply chain related discipline
