Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced NPI Engineer in High Wycombe to drive new product introductions from concept through approval. You will own data capture, coordinate cross-functional reviews and manage sample approvals while ensuring drawings, specifications and materials meet ISO/EN/DIN/ASTM standards.

In this role you will support RFQ decisions with technical data, collaborate with Sales and Suppliers, and keep all stakeholders informed throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Experience in NPI, process engineering or quality engineering positions.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specs.
• Understanding of engineering materials (steel, stainless steel, brass, etc).
• Familiar with ISO/EN/DIN/ASTM engineering standards.
• Strong attention to detail and methodical thinking.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Proactive in identifying improvements and resolving issues.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the NPI process from introduction to product approval.
• Ensure NPI data is accurately captured and maintained.
• Coordinate cross-functional reviews within timescales.
• Manage and oversee the sample approval process.
• Review technical drawings, specifications and requirements.
• Carry out product testing and analysis, including dimensional/visual checks.
• Collate technical and quality data to support approval.
• Support resolution of RFQ-related product/technical issues.
• Work with Sales, Sourcing and suppliers to resolve issues.
• Provide technical data and support to the Sales team.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve queries and improve satisfaction.
• Keep stakeholders informed throughout introduction and approval.
