Job summary

Safran Engineering Services UK Limited is recruiting two NPI Buyers to lead the purchasing function for new programmes, coordinating across 2-4 projects with around 20 suppliers per project. The role interfaces with external supply chain pre-production from concept through to handover into production, with budgets of £1 Million+ per programme.

The position is hybrid: 3-4 days onsite at Pitstone and the rest remote.

Qualifications

• Purchasing/sourcing experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
• Experience liaising with customers or suppliers and influencing others.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with metrics and data presentations.
• SAP experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple vendors and projects simultaneously.
• Coordinate sourcing activities aligned with product roadmap.
• Engage with cross-functional project teams across sites.
• Lead RFQ/RFP processes and supplier selection.
• Report on Quality, Cost, and Delivery targets.
• Ensure suppliers meet Safran quality requirements.
