Job summary

E3 Recruitment is assisting a leading, branded food manufacturer in finding an NPD Technologist. You will join a successful innovation team responsible for developing and launching branded products, gaining exposure across the full development process from concept to launch.

The role is based at a well-invested site and is commutable from Preston, Blackburn, Greater Manchester, and surrounding areas. This 12 month fixed-term contract offers benefits including a salary sacrifice pension, health

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or related discipline.
• NPD experience from placements, internships, or commercial environment.
• Good understanding of food manufacturing processes and product development principles.
• Able to work with cross-functional teams at all levels.
• Proactive learner with willingness to develop.

Responsibilities

• Take products from brief through factory trials and production.
• Ensure launches on time, within budget, and aligned with business/customer expectations.
• Maintain product specs, nutrition information, and project docs.
• Organise taste panels, sensory evaluations and benchmarking for decisions.
• Attend food fairs/exhibitions and perform competitor analysis to identify trends and support the pipeline.
