Job summary

Drnewitt is seeking a proactive Food Technologist to join their growing NPD team in Enfield. You will gain exposure to the full product development lifecycle, from concept through to launch, with hands-on involvement in customer projects, factory trials and benchmarking.

The role suits a Food Science graduate with placement year or an early-career NPD/Technical professional. Expect a fast-paced manufacturing environment and clear opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or related discipline required.
• Strong organisational and communication skills essential.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Support development of new products from concept to launch.
• Assist in managing customer briefs and development projects.
• Prepare samples for presentations and internal reviews.
• Conduct market research, benchmarking and trend analysis.
• Organise and support factory trials and production scale-ups.
• Maintain accurate product specifications and development documentation.
• Collaborate with Technical, Production, Procurement and Commercial teams.
• Monitor emerging food trends and identify opportunities.
• Support customer meetings and product presentations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation projects.
