Job summary

Zest is recruiting an NPD Technologist to join the food development team at a chilled meals manufacturer. You will work cross-functionally with Development, Technical, Operations and Supply Chain, taking each new product from concept through to handover to production.

You will ensure recipes are set up correctly and that each concept stands up to taste, performance and shelf life. You will run tastings, benchmark against competitors and ensure brand and nutritional standards before customer

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Technology or Food Science.
• Experience in new or existing food development.
• Background in food manufacturing - chilled meals experience is a real plus.

Responsibilities

• Take new product concepts from concept through to handover to production.
• Set up recipes correctly and benchmark taste, cooking performance and shelf life.
• Run tastings and benchmark against competitors to ensure brand standards.
• Prepare food presentations including recipe, cost, nutritionals and method.
