Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd in Cardiff is seeking an NPD Project Manager to lead product innovation and manage the development lifecycle from concept to production. You will coordinate Design, Engineering, Production, Quality and external partners to ensure on-time delivery of new products.

The role requires hands-on experience in manufacturing, strong PM skills and the ability to manage budgets, milestones and risk. A starting salary of £45,000–£48,000 is offered along with benefits and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience leading NPD/NPI or product development projects within manufacturing.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Familiarity with stage-gate or structured product development processes.
• Understanding of prototype development, testing, and production readiness.
• Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience in a technical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple NPD/NPI projects from development through to production.
• Coordinate Design, Engineering, Production, Quality and external partners.
• Manage project plans, milestones, risks, actions and budgets.
• Lead stage-gate reviews and ensure projects meet requirements before progressing.
• Coordinate prototypes, product trials, testing and validation.
• Ensure documentation, approvals and production handovers are completed.
• Manage and prioritise the workload of a small technical team.
• Provide clear project updates and escalation risks or delays when required
