Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an NPD Project Manager in Cardiff to drive new product development from concept to production. You will coordinate Design, Engineering, Production and QA teams and external partners to deliver robust programs on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Experience managing NPD, NPI or product development projects within manufacturing.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Experience with stage-gate or structured product development processes.
• Understanding of prototype development, testing, validation and production readiness.
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management.
• Previous people/team management experience.
• Practical, hands‑on understanding of manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple NPD/NPI projects from development through to production.

• Manage project plans, milestones, risks, actions and budgets.
• Lead stage-gate reviews and ensure projects meet requirements before progressing.
• Coordinate prototypes, product trials, testing and validation.
• Ensure documentation, approvals and production handovers are completed.
• Manage and prioritise the workload of a small technical team.
• Provide clear project updates and elevate risks or delays when required
