Job Title: NPD Process Specialist / NPD Technologist

Location: Wakefield/Leeds area

Schedule: Monday – Friday, days-based, flexible start times

Due to significant investment and NPD activities at a large, world-class manufacturing site, we are recruiting for an NPD Process Specialist.

About the Role

We produce and manufacture many of our own food products, helping us stay close to our customers' needs. You'll be part of an exciting team that creates delicious food products, innovating new items and perfecting existing ones. Your work will directly impact our customers’ tables.

As a key member of the product development team, you’ll own process development projects from concept to launch, overseeing the process to ensure smooth and timely execution. You will also manage key factory process settings to ensure products are manufactured to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Own the Process: Lead the development process, ensuring each step is carefully managed.
  2. Communicate Effectively: Keep all stakeholders, including retail teams and suppliers, informed of project progress.
  3. Manage Timelines: Oversee project schedules and tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
  4. Ensure Documentation Accuracy: Maintain precise documentation for regulatory compliance and consistency.
  5. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with colleagues to turn product briefs into reality, exceeding customer expectations.
  6. Work with Suppliers: Source raw materials, collaborate, and handle paperwork to keep projects moving.
  7. Factory Trials & Production: Coordinate trials and oversee initial production runs to ensure quality.
  8. Process Management: Optimize factory line settings for high-quality output.
About You
  • Exceptional communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management experience, particularly in Process Control and NPD, from concept to launch.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
  • Proactive, results-driven attitude to push projects forward.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage complex projects and deadlines.
