Job summary

Steele Charles Ltd seeks a Process & Development Technologist to join the Technical and NPD team in Headcorn. You will work on developing new foods/beverages, taking products from concept to factory trials and into production.

The role involves coordinating trials, supporting recipe and process development, and ensuring documentation, shelf-life, nutrition and quality assessments are carried out. Strong graduates with relevant placements are welcome.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be educated in food-related subject areas.
• Strong graduates will be considered with relevant placements.
• Experience in food/beverage manufacturing is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development from concept through to launch.
• Coordinate and carry out factory and product trials.
• Assist recipe, formulation and process development.
• Assess feasibility of new products within manufacturing.
• Prepare and maintain process and technical documentation.
• Support shelf‑life, nutritional and product quality assessments.
• Collaborate with NPD, Technical, Production and other teams.
• Aid successful scale‑up and launch of new products.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve products and manufacturing processes.
