Job summary

Origin, a UK manufacturer, seeks a Product Development Manager to lead R&D for new packaging projects from brief to manufacturing readiness. You will work with Sales and customers to translate requirements into robust, manufacturable products and manage cross-functional teams across manufacturing, quality and procurement.

Qualifications

• Experience in new product development (NPD) within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, product specifications and testing methods.
• Experience taking new products from concept through development, testing and validation into manufacture.
• Strong communication and commercial awareness with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer briefs into technical specifications and development plans.
• Lead NPD projects through design, development, trials, testing and validation to manufacturing readiness.
• Coordinate projects across manufacturing, quality, regulatory, procurement, suppliers and commercial teams.
• Interpret data, resolve development challenges and maintain NPD documentation.
