Job summary

Cutter & Squidge is seeking an NPD Technologist to lead new product development from concept through to launch at our Brentford bakery. You’ll work closely with production and marketing to translate briefs into scalable recipes, manage specs, and keep costings current.

You will refine recipes, stay ahead of bakery trends, and support factory trials and launches while training production teams on new recipes. This role is on-site at our Brentford Production Bakery.

Qualifications

• Proven NPD experience essential with track record from concept to launch.
• A formal qualification in culinary arts, baking, or patisserie preferred; hands-on kitchen/bakery experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine new recipes; troubleshoot product issues based on feedback or production variations.
• Create new products in line with briefs.
• Research baking trends and competitor products.
• Manage recipes, update specs, maintain documentation for launches; keep costings up to date.
• Assist with factory trials, pre-productions, and launches.
• Represent NPD team at taste panels; collaborate with Technical and Production teams; train production on new recipes.
