Job summary

Kellan Group is recruiting a Junior Sous Chef for a busy gastro pub and restaurant in Notting Hill, West London. This temporary role runs for 2-3 months with an ASAP start, offering weekly pay in a professional kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, manage lunch and dinner services, prepare fresh seasonal dishes, supervise sections, and uphold high standards of food safety and presentation.

Qualifications

• Experience as Junior Sous Chef or Chef de Partie in busy restaurants or gastro pubs.
• Proven ability to support and supervise kitchen teams.
• Strong knowledge of British and European cuisine.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef with daily kitchen operations.
• Assist with managing busy lunch and dinner services.
• Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal dishes.
• Supervise kitchen sections and mentor junior staff.
• Maintain food quality and presentation consistency.
• Assist with stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
