Job summary

Crowe in the Midlands seeks an ambitious Audit Manager with a passion for the not-for-profit sector to join our award-winning team. You will work with a portfolio of charities and other not-for-profit organisations, delivering high-quality external audits and advising on governance, controls, and reporting.

You will lead audit engagements, coach teams, and develop relationships with clients while progressing within a supportive firm. ACA/ICAS/ACCA qualified professionals are invited to apply.

Qualifications

• ACA/ICAS/ACCA qualification required.
• Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards; experience of charity audits and the not-for-profit sector is an advantage.
• Strong people management skills enabling you to support, coach and mentor more junior colleagues.
• Interest in the not-for-profit sector.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate audit engagements for not-for-profit clients.
• Manage multiple audit teams, ensuring planned work is completed on time and within budget.
• Act as principal client contact throughout the year delivering proactive service.
• Time plan your own work and client appointments; meet tight deadlines.
• Prepare and present reports to senior management and Audit Committees/Boards.
• Direct, coach and mentor audit teams to support engagement delivery.
• Contribute to business development activities and proposals for new work.
• Potential for involvement in wider assurance services to clients.
