Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an Assistant Manager Audit - Not For Profit based in Cheltenham to lead external audits for charity and not-for-profit organisations within the financial services sector. You will work with the Accounting & Finance team to keep engagements organised, accurate and on track.

Working alongside Partners and senior leaders, you will manage a varied portfolio of not-for-profit clients while leading audits from planning through to completion, with significant client exposure and

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified
• Strong external audit experience within a practice
• Sound knowledge of auditing and accounting standards
• Experience managing client relationships and multiple assignments
• Demonstrable people management and coaching skills
• Strong organisational and project management ability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience of charity audits and Charities SORP advantageous
• Genuine interest in the Not-for-Profit sector

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of external audit clients throughout the year
• Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Ensure engagements delivered within budgets and timescales
• Act as a principal point of contact for clients
• Prepare and present reports to senior management and Audit Committees
• Manage, coach and mentor audit team members
• Support business development and networking activities
• Contribute to proposals and presentations for new business opportunities
• Assist with wider assurance assignments as required
• Participate in team initiatives and firm-wide projects
