Job summary

Guidant Global is recruiting a Landing Gear Structural Analysis Engineer for Airbus projects, based in Filton with heavy on-site requirements. You will apply static stress analysis and fatigue life expertise to support maintenance and design improvements, coordinating with Stress, Loads, and Supplier teams.

You will deliver clear technical reports, liaise with multi-disciplinary groups, and drive project work from initial analysis through to delivery under a 4.5-day, 35-hour week.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in static stress analysis and fatigue/damage tolerance engineering.
• Knowledge of landing gear structures, fatigue analysis and Airworthiness Limitations.
• Practical understanding of fatigue loads, spectra, damage and life-limit calculations.
• Experience researching technical documents and engineering archives.
• Strong technical report-writing skills and clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Research archives to identify towing cases, operating frequencies, weights and methods.
• Analyze fleet usage and compare with Maintenance Manual limits.
• Redefine pre-flight and post-flight operations and assess fatigue life impact.
• Provide fatigue loads, spectra, damage data for supplier evaluations.
• Coordinate projects from concept through delivery within time and budget constraints.
• Produce technical reports and engineering memoranda for stakeholders.
