Job summary

Airbus in the United Kingdom is seeking a seasoned Landing Gear Structural Analysis Engineer to strengthen the Fatigue and Damage Tolerance capability across nosing gear. Guidant Global is coordinating the search on Airbus' behalf, with a contract running through June 2027 and potential extension.

You'll lead static and fatigue analyses, coordinate with stresses, loads, technical publications and supplier teams, and deliver clear technical reports.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in static stress analysis and fatigue/damage tolerance engineering.
• Knowledge of landing gear structures, fatigue analysis and Airworthiness Limitations.
• Practical understanding of fatigue loads, spectra, damage and life-limit calculations.
• Experience researching technical documents and engineering archives.
• Strong technical report-writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Research engineering archives to identify prior towing and fatigue cases and evaluation methods.
• Analyse fleet usage and compare with maintenance manual limitations.
• Redefine pre/post-flight operations and assess impact on nose landing gear fatigue life.
• Provide fatigue loads, spectra, damage and occurrence data for supplier evaluations.
• Coordinate projects from concept through to delivery, managing time and budget.
