Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a hands-on Fire & Security Engineer to cover the North West, including Manchester, Wigan and surrounding areas. The role focuses on installation with some service work, installing and commissioning CCTV, intruder, access control, and related fire systems.

You’ll travel within roughly an hour of home when possible, with occasional broader travel and nights away. The position offers a clear progression path within the engineering team.

Qualifications

• Strong Fire & Security industry experience.
• Proven installation and commissioning experience.
• Strong CCTV and Intruder Alarm knowledge.
• IP-based security systems experience.
• Experience with Access Control systems beneficial.
• Fire Alarm experience beneficial but not essential.
• Confident servicing, diagnostics and fault finding.
• Ability to work independently and solve technical problems logically.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable with occasional UK travel / working away.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission security systems across projects of varying sizes.
• Carry out servicing, fault finding and reactive works.
• Support occasional travel and working away with notice.
