Job summary

North Tyneside Council is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Adult Learning Disability Team. You will assess adults with learning disabilities, develop personalised support plans, and work within a multidisciplinary network to promote independence and wellbeing.

You'll apply a strengths-based approach, collaborate with carers and external agencies, and uphold statutory duties under the Care Act to secure positive outcomes for service users.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.

About the Role

North Tyneside Council are seeking an experienced, passionate Social Worker to join their Adult Learning Disability Team

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Adult Social Care service. Working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team alongside transition workers, enablement staff, health professionals and partner agencies, you will support adults with learning disabilities and their families through key stages of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive assessments, and build, implement, and review personalised support plans.

• Protect vulnerable adults by leading and supporting safeguarding duties and enquiries.
• Work in close partnership with carers, families, and external agencies.
