Job summary

Modo Energy is hiring a Nordic Market Analyst to cover Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway from London. You will publish research to establish Modo as the Nordic reference for battery revenue models and help integrate the region into forecast products.

You’ll start by publishing Nordic research, then build benchmarks and automate data workflows, collaborating with the forecasting team to model markets over time.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant experience in power markets, energy analytics, data, or a technical analyst role.
• You can work in Python and SQL, interrogate complex datasets, and pick up new tools quickly.
• Familiarity with battery energy storage or wider energy transition themes.
• You can write clearly and get to the point. Our research is answer-first, and you'll be publishing from early on.
• You're comfortable owning a market with very little scaffolding around you.

Responsibilities

• Ingest new datasets and train Ko on the Nordics.
• Publish research on Nordic BESS revenues, buildout, and market design.
• Map and automate data sources from Svenska kraftnät, Fingrid, Energinet, etc.
• Build a grid-scale BESS asset and capacity register for the region.
• Build Nordic benchmarks and deploy to customers via the Modo Energy Terminal.
• Collaborate with the European forecast team to include Nordic markets in forecasts.
• Be the Nordics market expert on calls and raise the region's public profile.
