Job summary

Belmont Recruitment is seeking a Specialist Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join a dedicated substance misuse team in Durham. You will assess service users, develop personalised prescribing plans and manage Opiate Substitution Therapy (OST).

Responsibilities include supervised consumption, community alcohol detoxifications, phlebotomy and dry blood spot testing, with a focus on safeguarding and person-centred care while providing clinical leadership and supervision.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse or Pharmacist with an NMP qualification.
Experience in substance misuse treatment and mental health prescribing.
Strong safeguarding knowledge and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

Conduct assessments for service users with substance misuse needs.
Develop personalised prescribing plans and manage Opiate Substitution Therapy (OST).
Oversee supervised consumption and community alcohol detoxifications.
Perform phlebotomy and dry blood spot testing.
Provide clinical leadership, mentorship and supervision.

Job description

We are looking for a Specialist Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) to join a dedicated substance misuse team in Durham.

In this role, you will support service users with substance misuse needs by conducting assessments, developing personalised prescribing plans, and managing Opiate Substitute Therapy. Hourly Rate: £45.00 per hour

Schedule: Full Time / Monday to Friday

Contract Length: 6 months
