Job Description:

Since 1996, we have grown from a business specializing in sub and super structures to a multi-million pound construction group headquartered in North London, with depots in Biggleswade, Elstree, Peterborough, and Nottingham.

We are seeking a non-mechanical plant fitter to join our busy and fast-paced Plant department in Biggleswade.

This role requires experience in a similar position and great attention to detail.

Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm (1 hour break)

Start Date: ASAP

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Receiving and repairing all plant returns such as pallet trucks, concrete skips, podium steps, alloy towers, fuel bowsers, toolboxes, lift shaft gates, etc.
  • Ensuring that plant is maintained, presentable, and compliant for use.
  • Performing quality control of stock & parts.
  • Monitoring fleet numbers of all incoming & outgoing stock.
  • Working as part of a team.
  • Using hand & power tools.
Skills and Qualities:
  • Mechanical repair experience within the plant hire sector is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using various hand tools.
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing own workload.
