Non-Financial Risk Director

6 Month Contract

Location: London (Hybrid)

Skills:
  • Experience working at a senior level within a financial services organization.
  • Ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements in new or ongoing business situations, including knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Ability to motivate, direct, and develop staff at different levels, working individually and in teams.
  • Sound judgment with the ability to escalate issues appropriately and seek assistance when needed.
  • Strong management, leadership, and team-building skills, with the ability to communicate compliance issues clearly to senior teams and employees.
  • Effective communication and report-writing skills.
Knowledge:
  • In-depth knowledge of UK financial services and regulatory frameworks, including Data Protection and Anti-Financial Crime legislation.
  • Knowledge of business systems, including outsourced arrangements for financial services organizations.
Experience:
  • Credibility and experience at Board/Management level.
  • Experience managing Information Security risks, including digital developments and associated risks.
  • Experience engaging with Asset Management.
  • Knowledge or exposure to Asset Management trading systems.
  • Experience with technology control frameworks such as COBIT or similar.
  • BSc/Degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
Desirable:
  • Experience working in a COO or similar role.
