Non-Financial Risk Director

6 Month Contract

Location: London (Hybrid)

Skills:

• Experience in working at a senior level within a financial services organisation.
• Ability to understand/interpret the regulatory requirements for new or ongoing business situations, including knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Ability to motivate, direct, and develop staff at different levels, working individually and in teams.
• Sound judgement to determine when to escalate issues and when to seek assistance.
• Strong management, leadership, and team-building skills, with the ability to communicate compliance issues effectively to senior teams and staff.
• Effective communication and report writing skills.

Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of the UK financial services and regulatory framework, including Data Protection and Anti-Financial Crime laws.
• Knowledge of business systems, including outsourced arrangements for financial services firms.

Experience:

• Credibility and experience at Board/Management level.
• Experience managing Information Security risks, including digital developments and related risks.
• Experience working with Asset Management teams.
• Knowledge or exposure to Asset Management trading systems.
• Experience with technology control frameworks such as COBIT or similar.
• BSc/Degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
• Experience in a COO or similar role.
