Job summary

gtd healthcare is a not-for-profit provider delivering innovative healthcare across North-West England. We seek an experienced Non-Executive Director to provide independent oversight, strategic leadership and constructive challenge to our Board.

You will work with Executive Directors to shape strategy, governance and risk management, with a strong focus on digital innovation and patient-centred care. The role requires approximately two days per month, with flexibility.

Qualifications

• Strong board-level or senior leadership experience in digital strategy and transformation.
• Board or senior management experience in a similarly sized organization.
• Experience as a Non-Executive Director in a unitary Board.
• Leadership experience in out-of-hospital health services.
• Experience chairing Board committees.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and oversight of strategic direction for high-quality, patient-centred services.
• Provide independent judgement and constructive challenge on Board proposals and performance.
• Support governance, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and ethical standards.
• Monitor performance, risk management and financial stewardship to ensure sustainability.
• Champion patient safety, quality improvement, inclusion and staff wellbeing.
• Lead the IM&T committee and guide digital, information management and technology initiatives.
