Sellick Partnership is partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to recruit a Construction Partner in Reading. The role focuses on non-contentious construction work, with the disputes team handling contentious matters.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Construction Partner or Senior Associate/Legal Director ready to progress to equity, with strong non-contentious construction expertise and business development ability.

Qualifications

• Be an experienced Construction Partner or a Senior Associate/Legal Director ready for the next step.
• Have strong experience in non-contentious construction law.
• Be commercially minded with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Enjoy business development and mentoring junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Advising on non-contentious construction matters, including JCT, NEC and FIDIC contracts.
• Drafting and negotiating construction documentation, professional appointments and collateral warranties.
• Supporting Real Estate and Corporate teams on complex transactions.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Playing an active role in business development and the continued growth of the team.
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
