Big Red Recruitment is hiring a Mid-level Software Engineer for an in-house team at a UK retailer, focusing on modernising legacy tech with TypeScript, Node.js and AWS.

You'll build new services, migrate .NET components to TypeScript, work with SQL and DynamoDB, and participate in testing, reviews, and architecture discussions. The role sits in Leamington Spa with one day on-site per week and a benefits package including pension and healthcare.

Qualifications

• Experience building APIs and backend services with TypeScript/Node.js.
• Hands-on AWS experience, preferably serverless event-driven architecture.
• Experience migrating legacy .NET applications to TypeScript services.
• Proficiency with SQL databases and DynamoDB.
• Ability to contribute to testing, code reviews and technical discussions.
