Job Title: NOC Technician - Innovative Engineering Team (Previous Relevant Experience Required), Plymouth

This role is based in Plymouth, United Kingdom, with a requirement for an EU work permit. The position is within Telent's Engineering Team, focusing on supporting the nation's critical infrastructure through network operations.

Job Description:

The NOC (Network Operations Centre) Technician will provide administrative support to the NOC engineering team, ensuring incident resolution aligns with procedures and contractual KPIs. The role involves working on a 24/7 365-day shift rota to maintain network stability and security.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle incoming calls and emails, responding according to KPIs.
  2. Create incident tickets based on customer reports.
  3. Action Service Requests.
  4. Allocate and dispatch tickets to support and engineering teams, and other providers.
  5. Manage incident tickets with regular updates.
  6. Coordinate traffic management, liaising with providers and regional teams.
  7. Communicate with customers regarding network incidents.
  8. Coordinate with utility companies during power-related network issues.
Candidate Requirements:

Previous experience supporting Enterprise and Service Provider Networks, preferably within a NOC environment.

Experience with 1st Line diagnostics and incident resolution.

Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with individuals at all levels.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages.
