JPMorgan Chase's Machine Learning Center of Excellence seeks an NLP/LLM Scientist to apply state-of-the-art methods to real-world problems, including production deployments and decision support. You will work with business, technologists and control partners in a highly collaborative environment.

The role emphasizes deep learning, large language models, and scalable experimentation. You will publish, contribute to open-source, and drive firm-wide initiatives while delivering practical ML

Qualifications

• Solid background in NLP and LLMs, and solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning methods.
• Published research in Machine Learning, Deep Learning or Reinforcement Learning in major conference or journal.
• PhD in a quantitative discipline or MS with significant industry/research experience.
• Extensive experience with machine learning and deep learning toolkits (TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, Pandas).
• Ability to design experiments and training frameworks, and to evaluate metrics aligned with business goals.
• Experience with big data and scalable model training; strong communication to technical and business audiences.

Responsabilités

• Research and explore new machine learning methods through independent study and industry engagement.
• Develop state-of-the-art ML models to solve NLP/LLM or recommendation tasks and deploy to production.
• Publish outputs via papers, open-source software, patents, and conferences/journals.
• Collaborate with Business, Technology, Product Management, Legal, Compliance, Strategy and Business Management to deploy solutions in production.
• Drive firm-wide initiatives by developing large-scale frameworks for ML across the business.
