Job summary

You will assess liability, review audiograms and medical records, instruct experts, draft correspondence, negotiate settlements, and ensure compliance with CPR. A solid background in NIHL or personal injury and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years NIHL or personal injury claim experience.
• Strong understanding of occupational deafness and hearing loss claims.
• Familiar with litigation processes in England & Wales.
• Ability to interpret medical and audiology evidence.
• Strong negotiation and settlement skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
• Good working knowledge of case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage NIHL claims from inception to settlement or litigation.
• Assess liability and quantum based on medical evidence and hearing loss reports.
• Review audiograms, medical records, and occupational history evidence.
• Instruct and liaise with medical experts, counsel, and external agencies.
• Draft and review legal correspondence, pleadings, and settlement offers.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurers.
• Ensure compliance with Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and relevant protocols.
• Maintain accurate case management system records and deadlines.
• Identify fraud indicators and elevate where necessary.
• Provide updates and reports to clients and senior handlers/partners.
• Meet individual and team KPIs including file progression and settlement targets.
