Job summary

Arnold Clark in Chesterfield is seeking a Nightshift Smart Repairer to maintain our vehicle stock to a high standard. You will perform smart repairs, masking, and paint preparation during a 44-hour week from Monday to Thursday 7.30pm–7am. A strong eye for detail and independence are essential in this hands-on role.

You’ll have an opportunity to progress with excellent training, private healthcare, and staff discounts. A UK driving licence and spray painting experience are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience in smart repair or spray painting.
• Excellent eye for detail and ability to multitask.
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out smart repairs to vehicle stock to a high standard.
• Prepare vehicles for paintwork, including masking.
• Carry out minor damage repairs and polishing to remove defects.
• Mix and apply paint products, ensuring correct techniques.
• Work on your own initiative with good people skills.

About The Role

As a Smart Repair technician, you’ll carry out smart repairs to our vehicle sales stock to an excellent standard.

The right person for the job will be energetic and self-motivated, with the ability to work on your own initiative, and excellent people skills. What’s more, you’ll have a great eye for detail and take pride in doing a meticulous job.

Day-to-day duties

• Preparing vehicles for paintwork (including masking)
• Carrying out minor damage repairs
• Polishing to remove defects from vehicle paintwork
• Mixing paint to apply to vehicles
• Applying paint products correctly and to a high standard

Essential Skills

• A full UK driving licence
• Smart repair/Spray painting experienceAn excellent eye for detail
