Arnold Clark is hiring a Nightshift MOT Tester at Birtley Motorstore to perform MOT tests and related repairs to DVSA standards. The role emphasizes meticulous attention to detail and safe, efficient operation both solo and as part of a professional team.

Salary starts from £48,000 with potential bonuses and annual salary reviews, plus overtime paid at time and a half and other benefits. Training to EV accreditation is provided.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving license is required.
• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3.
• Minimum of one year’s experience as an MOT Tester.
• A full and clean MOT record.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
• Ability to carry out procedures and checks to a high standard and complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA standards.
• Repair or replace worn or defective parts.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Follow checklists to ensure procedures are completed correctly.

We’re looking for experienced Nightshift MOT Testers to join our growing team.

Hours

Full time: Monday – Thursday 7.30pm – 7am

About The Role

As an Arnold Clark MOT Tester, you will work to the highest standards according to the DVSA, carrying out repairs or replacing parts as needed.

You’ll be able to follow procedures and instructions to a high standard with meticulous attention to detail, while working safely and efficiently both on your own and as part of a successful, professional team.

Day-to-day duties

• Carry out MOT tests in accordance with DVSA testing standards
• Repair or replace broken or defective parts
• Maintain equipment and make sure tools are in good condition
• Follow checklists to ensure all procedures are completed correctly
• Complete documentation to the required standard

Essential Skills

• A full UK driving license
• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3
• Minimum of one year’s experience as an MOT Tester
