Job summary

EVRi International in Dundee is seeking a Night Shift Manager to oversee the night operation at Dundee Depot. You will lead Supervisors, Night Loaders, Sorters and Drivers, ensuring smooth parcel processing from client sites to final delivery across areas, with full shift accountability.

The role requires managing performance while driving cost efficiency, service levels and continuous improvements in operations, in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Night Shift Manager – Dundee Depot

The Night shift typically runs 4 nights over a 6‑day week, ideally Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, starting around 23:00 depending on volumes.

Night Shift Manager is a key role responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the night operation in the depot. You will lead teams of Supervisors, Night Loaders, Sorters and Drivers who process parcels from client sites to smaller geographic areas for final delivery. Full accountability for shift performance, seeking continuous improvements in cost, service and operational efficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of night warehouse sortation efficiently and cost‑effectively.
• Ensure depot key KPIs are achieved (e.g., sortation compliance, vehicle departure times).
• Budget management to meet agreed service levels including productivity, labour costs, overtime and agency usage.
• Lead, coach and develop supervisors on shift.
• Adhere to legal requirements such as the O Licence.

Qualifications

• Transport knowledge, skills or experience including regulations.
• Management experience leading and managing a team.
• Ability to work on own initiative in a pressurised environment to tight deadlines.
• Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience working in fast‑paced logistics.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise at all levels.
