Job summary

Guidant Global is recruiting a Nightshift Lineside Engineer to support production activity at Airbus in Broughton. The role is on-site with a night-shift pattern (Mon-Thu, 8:45pm-6:00am) and a 30% night shift allowance.

The successful candidate will work closely with production and support functions to identify and resolve technical issues on the shop floor. Minimum NVQ Level 4 or equivalent is required, with experience in a technical manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• A minimum NVQ Level 4 qualification, or equivalent.
• Experience in a technical, manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
• The ability to analyse technical issues and support practical solutions.
• A structured and detail-focused approach to documentation, non-conformance activity and work order management.
• A continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in improving processes, reducing waste and supporting operational performance.

Responsibilities

• Support the production team in identifying, analysing and resolving technical issues on the shopfloor.
• Assist with the identification, creation and follow-up of Non-Conformities and NC notifications.
• Provide technical input to help complete NC forms accurately, supporting containment and corrective actions.
• Prepare and enrich technical documentation relating to assembly anomalies, non-conformities, design queries, rework orders and outstanding work.
• Search for and provide relevant technical information, including drawings, references, parts, tooling and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement activity by identifying production issues, inefficiencies and opportunities to reduce waste.
• Escalate issues where appropriate to Work Prep, Line Balancing, Maintenance, MAP, OSW or other support functions.
