Job summary

Airbus at Broughton is seeking a Nightshift Lineside Engineer to support production on the shop floor. You will work closely with the production team and autonomous groups to identify and resolve technical issues that impede manufacturing, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate has an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent and experience in a technical manufacturing environment, with strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a technical, manufacturing, production or engineering environment.
• Ability to analyse technical issues and support practical solutions.
• Strong communication skills with production teams and support functions.
• Structured, detail-focused documentation and work order management.
• Continuous improvement mindset to reduce waste and support performance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze and resolve technical issues on the shopfloor.
• Assist with non-conformities (NC) and NC notifications.
• Provide input to NC forms for containment and corrective actions.
• Prepare and enrich technical documentation on assembly, NCs and rework.
• Search for and provide drawings, references, parts, tooling and docs.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying issues and waste.
• Escalate issues to relevant support functions as needed.
• Support work management and follow-up with multifunctional teams.
• Flag blocked work orders for production control review.
• Prioritise serial and rework orders linked to NCs or concessions.
• Promote EH&S standards on the shopfloor.
• Ensure production processes and procedures are applied correctly.
• Assist logistics in prioritising materials for rework orders.
